Our Wooden Double Deacon's Bench is much wider than the model W-2440, but the seat height is still the standard adult chair of 17". This one will allow 2 adults to sit side by side. The seat is a lid, which opens to gain access to a storage area below. The main purpose of this size/style of a Deacon's Bench is because it can be used as a Window Seat. It has a low enough back to be positioned in front of a series of windows or a Bay Window. This Double Deacon's Bench can also be used in many areas around the house. It can be positioned in the mudroom or back landing, the den or family room, or in the hallway near the bedrooms. It can store from rain boots in the mudroom to comforters or quilts in the family room or den. It can be a hamper in the hallway by the bedrooms or it can store extra bedding there.
